Welcome! This blog has been set up to allow us to share our thoughts, findings, questions or experiences regarding tourism in Salamanca and/or in Spain. For the time being and until we talk about this in class, I would like it to be bilingual. That is, you can choose whether you want to post in Spanish (and get that extra practice) or in English (if, for instance, you think someone back home would like to read it). Feel free to add photos, videos or whatever you want to share, but please, if you photos or videos show other people, please make sure they are ok with it.
Having said that, here is my first entry:
Salamanca es una ciudad fantástica. Hay muchas cosas que hacer y lugares que conocer, pero... hasta hoy mismo, yo no sabía que aproximadamente 1.5 millones de turistas vienen a Salamanca cada año. Salamanca tiene 150.000 habitantes. Es decir, ¡los turistas multiplican por 10 el número de habitantes! Esto me hace pensar... ¿por qué viene tanta gente a Salamanca? ¿qué significa esto para los turistas? .... Pues, probablemente, que hay una enorme industria turística.
